A little bit about me...
I'm a multimedia composer and double bassist, originally from New York but currently living in Seoul, South Korea. I've scored for short films and radio programs, as well as four plays as a member of the Brooklyn-based Slugfest theatre company. My work has been presented at festivals such the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Cincinnati Fringe, Providence Fringe, and the Washington Heights Jazz Festival, the last for which my piece The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter won the 2021 “Jazz WaHi” Composition Competition. I completed a master's degree in Music: Screen Scoring at NYU Steinhardt and received my BA in Music and Philosophy at Columbia University. Current hobbies include growing plants, making chicken curry and accumulating a reading list that seems to expand exponentially faster than my ability to work through it.
If you would like to get in touch, send me an email at fernandez.robert.p@gmail.com!
That's me! In Kobe, about to go in on some choice cuisine.
